About Us

Founded in May 2025 by dedicated youth from the DMV area, Aminah Islamic Center is a volunteer-run masjid committed to serving the Deen and uplifting our community.

By the grace of Allah, we are honored to be among the most active Islamic centers of Ahl al-Sunnah in the United States. Located in a modest neighborhood, we host daily and Jumu‘ah prayers, Dars-e-Nizami (ʿĀlim Course), Qur’an and Hifz programs, Saturday School, youth and women’s workshops, martial arts, calligraphy, and more. Several of our classes are offered free of charge so everyone can benefit, regardless of financial means.

Rooted in the traditional Prophetic way of mercy, excellence, and balanced scholarship, our mission is to cultivate hearts, strengthen families, and build resilient neighborhoods through worship, learning, and service. Our calendar is anchored by the five daily prayers and Jumu‘ah, then extends into educational programs, and seminars focused on educating the community. We strive to make essential knowledge accessible—offering  free classes—while fostering adab (etiquette) and ihsān (spiritual excellence) in every gathering.

By Allah’s favor, our teachers include traditionally trained instructors as well as qualified professionals from the community, enabling us to pair sound creed and fiqh with practical guidance for contemporary life—so that worship informs character, and character animates service.

As a volunteer-run institution, we take amānah (trust) and transparency seriously. Our affairs are overseen through  dedicated committees for education, finance, facilities, and community welfare, with clear policies for safeguarding children and vulnerable adults, and prudent stewardship of zakāh and ṣadaqah distributions.

Beyond our walls, we collaborate on food security efforts, winter warmth drives, tutoring and literacy support, and dignified newcomer assistance—seeking the common good while remaining steadfast upon the Ahl al-Sunnah. We warmly welcome you to pray with us, volunteer your time, sponsor a class, or share your professional expertise, so that together—by Allah’s mercy—we may raise a generation that remembers Him, serves His creation, and carries this trust forward.
